Memorial Page

Forever young . . . in memory of our classmates who have passed away. Let us not dwell on the circumstances of their passing but celebrate how they touched our lives.

Gary Baker
 1960 - 2009

Former Petaluma resident Gary Baker, 48, lost his courageous battle with cancer October 15, 2009 surrounded by his wife and family at his home in San Francisco.

He was born 1960 and spent his childhood in Petaluma, graduating in 1979 from Casa Grande High.

He went on to a successful career in the financial industry, working in leadership roles in auditing and sales.

Gary was a unique, loving, caring man who loved to cook, laugh, and entertain family and friends. His passions were traveling the world and pampering the women in his life. His family and friends were always spoiled with his extraordinary cooking, and will all tell you of his unbridled support for the 49ers and Giants.

Gary was a devoted and loving husband and Dad, known by his family and friends for his strength, unselfishness, and sense of humor, even during the most difficult times.

He was also gracious and appreciative of everything done for him by his family, friends, and many healthcare professionals. Gary leaves behind the love of his life, MaryAnn; a son, Eric, his sister, Sue; his mom Gretchen and stepdad Wade; his father, Ed and his wife, Coralee; his aunt and uncle; numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins.
